Another Morning

I have been working on this poem for a week or more.  At first it was too abstract and in the current version it may still lack clarity but as always I hope it is ready to post on my blog and you will understand what it is trying to say.  Also I want to share a photo with you that I admire.  It is from a picture post card and every time I hold it in my hands, I look at it with wonder.  It has been awhile since I have tried  to post a photo so here’s hoping all goes well with the poem and the photo.  And also here’s hoping I do not make any spelling mistakes.  That is another fear of mine.

CHASING THE LIGHT

Early morning sorrowing

with joy    light  light quotidian

winter laughter    the forest

is a January chorus.

Greek   keeper of the watch

guardian light has paws

the lion    the tiger

fierce crashing worlds   time zones.

Light is a whisper    baby’s breath

and across a far stone square

the shadow of an iron angel

is flying.
